This afternoon Jeff and I went to Cambria's new elementary school for a Meet the Teacher Open House. I knew this was a county with excellent schools, but I was floored by the school itself. The school is much newer than Cambria's previous one in Maple Valley. Her new classroom is at least 1/3 larger than her old one, and it makes a BIG difference! She has 6 computers in her classroom! There is an art room in this school. The library was MUCH larger than Cambria's MV one. And, the school staff were VERY organized for the open house. I was really impressed. Can't wait to see the academics.
Lastly, her teacher is warm and friendly. Only downside, the teacher is expecting a baby in December and will be out until early Feb. Fortunately, Cambria is a fairly flexible child and I expect that she'll handle this twist well.
