Four Kitty Cats

Our first Halloween back in Virginia and with four girls. Cambria decided that she wanted to be a cat, so of course, the other girls had to be cats, as well. I thought they turned out adorable. It's difficult to tell but even Eliana had a cat outfit on (though it was a little small on her and she wouldn't keep the ears on). Also, difficult to tell was Carys is very sick. Her fever was only around 99 all day, but was back up to 102 after we went around the cul-de-sac and evening hit. Such a sad, but sweet, little kitty.

Krispy Kreme

Last weekend we introduced our kids to Krispy Kreme. They loved seeing the doughnut creation process. We may have to make Krispy Kreme a monthly tradition.

Jeff was not too happy with the coffee, but the doughnuts were great!

Eliana at 9 months

Eliana is almost 10 months old, so I'd better post some pics of her as a 9 month old. She is growing so quickly. As the fourth child, life is speeding by. I have to be very intentional to enjoy special moments with her. Fortunately, she's so sweet and it's not difficult to want a moment with her.

She is her own unique individual, even in the midst of 3 sisters. She still has blue eyes (only one in the family) and the lightest hair in the family. Yet, she looks just like her sisters.

Eliana is crawling (sometimes "commando" and sometimes a true crawl). She pushes up to sitting on her own. She does an amazing "dogward dog" pose. She's trying to pull up on things so cruising and walking will be here before we know it. She says "dada" and "mama", and even though she doesn't necessarily know they are our names, she does associate them with Jeff and I. She always says, "mama" to me, usually when she's tired, hungry or fussy and wants me to do something about it.

Eliana loves her sisters. Recently we've been "allowing" her to play with them in the playroom, instead of only playing in the family room. She loves being with the big kid toys. She also loves to get into trouble (see below pic with Carys, the diapers and wipes).

Another Artist

We have another budding artist on our hands. Carys is 2 and discovering the joys of painting, playdough, coloring, etc. She will be VERY excited to start preschool next year, I'm sure.

Cambria's artwork

Cambria's art class recently did abstract paintings inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. Her painting was chosen to hang in the hallway outside the art room. We're terrible parents and haven't made it over to the school to see it in person, but a very kind church member sent us this picture. We are so proud of Cambria and we'll definitely get over there later this week.
