This is what happens when you have older sisters

Circus Day

Last week they had "circus day" at Avery's preschool. The kids were encouraged to dress up in circus clothes or bright colors. I dressed Avery in bright normal clothes (since she hates to have attention), but she decided to put on our clown wig and the gloves. However, by the time we reached school, she was freaking out about the attention she might receive with the wig and gloves. So, all extras were taken off.

She returned home with a painted face (and happy as can be, I might add), found the wig and played the part of a clown for the family.

Playdough fun

Last week Carys and Avery helped me make 2 new batches of playdough. Since then, the girls have been playing with the playdough non-stop. I need to make a new batch once a month...it keep them so busy.

Super Eliana

The girls love to dress Eliana as a super hero. Eliana loves it, as well.

Avery's latest piece of art

This morning, out of nowhere, Avery decided to create this piece of art. It included coloring, cutting and pasting. She completely came up with the idea by herself, and it made me so proud. It's hard to stand out in the crowd with an older sister like Cambria, but she's doing a great job of being her own person.

Warm day

This afternoon was warm, so the whole family took to the outside. The girls played on a neighbor's swing set, which includes the "porch" swing.

New bed

In late January, Carys began to climb out of her crib. The older girls began to tell her how she could now move to a "big girl" bed. There was no getting around it. We moved her into the other (un)bunked bed. At first, she cried for her old crib, but within a few days she was loving her new bed. She was especially excited when a family in the church passed down some very girly bedding (not pictured).
